Neuland is known for its strong, sculptural forms and dynamic contrast. Working with a brush softens and energizes this script, allowing letters to grow organically through light pressure, movement, and speed. In this three-part online workshop, we will slow the process down and explore how structure and spontaneity coexist within this distinctive style.
Across three evenings, you’ll build a deep understanding of the script. Emphasis is placed on movement, weight, and confidence — letting the brush respond naturally to your hand.

Flame Script is a contemporary calligraphy style that I created some years ago — it is written with a brush and driven by movement, rhythm, and flow. Like flames, the strokes rise, twist, and repeat, forming expressive patterns that feel both spontaneous and intentional.
In this workshop, you’ll explore FLAME Script as a system of motion. Starting from simple brush gestures, you’ll learn how patterns emerge through repetition and directional change. The focus is on energy, continuity, and visual harmony, allowing your writing to become a living pattern across the page.
This workshop is ideal for calligraphers and brush lettering artists who enjoy experimentation and want to move beyond traditional scripts into expressive, pattern-based work.

You’ll practice brush movements and proportions, learning how to integrate capitals seamlessly into longer texts while maintaining harmony and energy.

"Many thanks Loredana. I loved the workshop! You have given me lots of ideas for loosening up. This workshop was perfect for me, being a combination of my favourite tool, the brush, and focusing on composition instead of text paste-ups! This is the direction I ought to focus on."

I like to connect with people personally - with each and everyone ...
... giving You time to ask questions during the class,
helping You to go through exercises and getting an instant feedback.
Therefore I keep my workshops small - up to 15 people.
All workshops are recorded and devided to shorter videos. However I don't record the talking to students
and some minutes meant for people to try each section.
The playlist is available till a week after the workshop ends.
One can also attend only by watching the videos - the price remains the same.
I ensure you (in both ways) to get the best support and experience possible
by giving you feedback on your exercises that you will send via email preprosto.jaz@gmail.com
